Udyog Adhaar Registration is nothing but an easy way of registration for the small and micro scale entrepreneur firms. All you have to do is to fill up the Entrepreneurship Memorandum, also known as MSME, and the registration is done. This will simplify the complicated registration process and will replace the previous process with the only one-page form that too online.
Documents Required For Udyog Aadhaar MSME Registration
Aadhaar Number: 12 digits Aadhaar number issued to the applicant.
Postal Address: Address of the business including mobile and email address.
Date of Commencement: The date on which businesses was started.
Name of Enterprise: Name of the legal entity to conduct business. One applicant can have more than one enterprises doing business and each one can be registered for a separate Udyog Aadhaar and with the same Aadhaar Number.
Type of Organization: Type of Business entity or Legal Entity. (Proprietorship, Partnership Firm, Hindu Undivided Family, Private Limited Company, Co-Operative, Public Limited Company, Self Help Group, LLP, Others)
Social Category: General / Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Other Backward Castes (with proof).
Bank Details: Details of the bank account of the company including IFSC Code and Bank Account number.
Previous Registration Details: Details of previous MSME registration, if applicable should be entered here.
DIC: Details of the District Industry Center nearest to the business, if required.
Major Activity: Major area of activity of the business – manufacturing or service.
Name of Owner: The applicant name as mentioned on the Aadhaar Card issued by UIDAI.
The person employed: The total number of people employed in the business.
Investment in Plant & Machinery / Equipment: Amount of money invested in terms of machinery and equipment by the business.
NIC Code: The appropriate NIC Code should be entered from the National Industrial Classification (NIC) handbook.
Steps to Register For Online Udyog Aadhar Registration

Guidelines for Filling the Online Udyog Aadhaar Form :-
Adhaar Number: Aadhaar number is mandatory. Without the card number, the process cannot be continued.
Name of the owner : The applicant has to fill up his/her name correctly as mentioned in the Adhaar card issued by UIDAI.The main criteria being that applicant’s name should match his/her aadhaar card name otherwise; it will be rejected.
Social Category : After validating the Adhaar card, the applicant has to provide the information about his/her social category, i. e. Whether he/she is a General, SC, ST or OBC category. If the applicant belongs to SC/ST/OBC category, he/she may be required to provide with proper documents if and when required.
Name of the Firm: Applicant is required to fill the name of the enterprise by which his/her enterprise is known to the public and needed to provide legal documents for that. If more than one enterprise is there, then each can be registered as Enterprise 1 and Enterprise 2 with the same Adhaar card number.
Types of Organization : The applicant is in need to fill the kind of his/her enterprise, as provided in the form. The applicant must prove that he/she is authorized by legal entity.
Postal Address : Applicant must fill with the exact postal address of the enterprise with pin no., mobile no. And Email address.
Date of Commencement : The Applicant must mention the date on which the enterprise commenced.
Previous registration details : the applicant should indicate previous registration details of that particular enterprise if any, and every appropriate detail should be filled up in the particular box.
Bank details : In case of bank details two things are needed. they are bank account number, the IFS code of the bank branch where the specified account exists.
Major Activity : In the major activity box, there are two types of options, manufacturing, and servicing. The applicant can choose any of it. And if the particular enterprise in involved in both types of works, there is a tricky way to fill out. If your company is involved with servicing on the large scale and manufacturing on the other, you should choose ‘servicing’ as the major activity & if your enterprise is involved with manufacture on the large scale and servicing on the small scale, you should choose ‘manufacturing’, and i
NIC Code : National Industry Classification code should be mentioned by the applicant. More than one classification code can be provided, if any. For mentioning more than one NIC Code, one should click the button ‘add more’, and mention as required.
Persons employed : The number of individuals who are employed currently by the enterprise should be specified by the applicant.
Investment in Plant and Machinery equipment : The total investment expenditure on installing plants and machinery equipment should be mentioned by the applicant. This excludes, the cost of pollution control, safety devices, etc. as notified by the RBI.
DIC : The applicant must mention the DIC, based on its location. The box will show options only when there are more than once DIC in the district.
Submit For Udyog Aadhaar Registration : After fulfilling all the points as mentioned above, the applicant must click on the submit button to generate the Udyog Aadhaar registration number.
Note: As per Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India notification No. SO 2576 (E) date 18.09.2015, the filing of Entrepreneur Memorandum (EM) Part-I && II and issuance of Acknowledgement has been replaced by Udyog Aadhar Memorandum (UAM) and Udyog Aadhar Acknowledgement respectively.
